United Network Inc. (UNI) Evolved, in Kansas City, MO in 1991. The company was born from a conversation between the creator's mother and one of her friends. The friend told his mother that she had problems finding someone to cut her grass and do odd jobs for her. She told her friend that she would check with her son, as he has a passion for helping
elders.
When the son found out about the lady's dilemma, he gladly accepted the opportunity to help her. Soon the word was out that there was some dependable help for elderly seniors. The idea of dependable help for the elderly spread like wildfire. It was similar to an avalanche that kept getting larger & larger. This concept was the beginning point and formation of "UNI". The son then had several conversations with two of his cousins that he grew up with. The idea was to form a trustworthy business that would help people's needs.
A company that people would also be able to trust. Soon afterward, the son was in McDuff's appliance store to purchase a cell phone. This way he could stay in contact with customers when out of the office. He was approached by a salesman that inquired about his pick-up truck. The store was obviously in need of someone to deliver their items. The store salesman asked if he would be interested in providing some deliver services? He explained to the salesman, that he did not have an official company and that his target base was elderly seniors that needed assistance. The salesman explained that there was a great demand for assisting the elderly with delivery service. That is where the avalanche began.
The next important thing to do was to form an official company. Since word of mouth seemed to be how businesses flourish, "Network" had to be a part of the business name. Since there has to be unity and United represents the names of large corporations, "United" must be part of the name. So there was the birth of "United Network Inc."
We later coined the phrase (UNI can make a difference. A multi-service company you can trust). Since more help was needed, the son requested help from longtime friends he grew up with. There were three guys and one female that had the integrity needed to make this company work. In addition too one of his old high school friends was knowledgeable in-home repair and was eager to help start the company with him. Finally one of his cousin's husband introduced the company to "Big Ant, a KC Royals legendary players' brother. The son united all of the people mentioned above to form the organization known as UNI.
The company consists of several components. Lawn, Snow removal service, Janitorial service, Delivery service, Auto Detailing service. Delivery and lawn services are the highest priority of the company, because of the people we were serving, plus that is what got us started.
UNI Blessings
The network of the business allowed us to meet Thurman Mitchell, a newscaster for Kansas City. He was also a preacher with good values and judgment. Mr. Mitchell and his son Thurman Jr. were very ecstatic about what we were forming. As a result, he donated his son and a riding lawnmower. This proved to be a great asset to the business.
Victor Smith had a sports bar that he operated out of his garage. Vic, as we know him, worked on cars and managed a softball team. He donated brooms, gloves, knowledge, and a central location to meet. Vic also occasionally provided financial blessings. Vic was a walking network within himself. He had more business people and connections than one could imagine. He did not mind sharing his network because he also respected what UNI stood for.

Structure
It is important to know that UNI was based on believing that if God is involved, you can't go wrong. Doing the right thing is more important than money and fame. UNI maintained throughout the first three years of existence that is is about the people, not the business. It is equally important to be spiritually sound and devoted to the people. Business contracts come and go, but the real relationships last for a lifetime.
Then, there was Keith Williams another of my childhood friend, with W & L excavating company. Keith was the sole of the business. He managed his family business and UNI in the same fashion. He assisted with every aspect of the business, from managing, labor, and giving the customers the extra care that was well received. In great memory of Keith Williams, we want to thank you for our dedication, commitment, expertise, and love that you provided to the customers and all the staff and supporters. Keith was dependable, honest, humble, and passionate to help people like the creator. Our thanks go out in memory of this great man.
Then we have Michael Gillis, with Gillis remodeling. Mike was a person with ingenuity, integrity, and remodeling skills second to none. Mike had values that would elevate any company he worked with.
The business needed someone to make sure the work was performed properly, efficiently, and accurately. I requested my cousin Lex Hedgeman to perform this task. He recruited Big Ant. These two gentlemen became the backbone of the business. They had the customer service skills, work ethics, and knowledge for the job to keep our customers happy.
In memory of Big Ant, we want to thank you for all that you did to make UNI the company of integrity, respect, and trust. Lex Hedgeman, has been instrumental in making the company in the '90s.
These ethics and values are held with high honor and respect to where the company is today. We cannot express the value of Lex and what he's brought to the customers, vendors, and anyone that has experienced what UNI has to offer.
Last but not least by far, the only female of the organization. Carmen Foster, longtime neighborhood friend. Carmen was supportive and in inspiration for all of us.
Together we formed "United Network Inc,"

The "logo" design was developed by Kevin Haywood, a longtime childhood friend. Kevin was the son of 9 siblings. His father and mother had strong values and morals. Kevin was also an army veteran, with the skills of an artist, dancer, and extraordinaire. This brother was phenomenal. When Kevin was involved with anything you knew it was going to be done right.Kevin designed the UNI insignia that reveals what the company represents. The logo displays handshakes, persons carrying items, and faces looking a each other. This design was ingenious. It was the epiphany of what the company is about. In years past a person's word and a handshake was all that was needed. People carrying an item and you need at least two people to represent unity. When o look a person in his eyes, that represents truth. The logo that Kevin designed expressed all that...I great memory of Kevin Haywood, we want to thank you for your inspiration and dedication you provided to start a company with integrity and tenacity that exist throughout the existence of this company. The logo is the original design Kevin created.
